In Loving Memory of Suzanne Lindeman Howell
Suzanne Lindeman Howell, 87, of Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD, passed away on February 15, 2025. Born on May 12, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio, she later moved to Cumberland, MD, where she graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1955. Mrs. Howell pursued a career in nursing, becoming a registered nurse in 1958 and holding various significant roles, including Director of Nursing at multiple healthcare facilities and contributing to the establishment of an Intensive Care Unit at Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
In 1965, she married Melvin E. Howell, Jr., and they spent many years in the Baltimore area and Virginia before settling in Carroll Lutheran Village in 2002. Passionate about family history, Mrs. Howell also ventured into entrepreneurship with a candy-making business and a deli in Richmond, VA. A dedicated member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church, she was actively involved in her community and wrote poetry and songs. She is survived by her stepson, Melvin E. Howell, III, and cherished friends and family. A graveside service is scheduled for February 19, 2025, at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
